Born and raised in Glasgow, Graham Walker has researched and published widely in the subject areas of Irish and Scottish history and politics.

Among his publications are: Intimate Strangers: Political and Cultural Interaction Between Scotland and Ulster (1995); and A History of the Ulster Unionist Party: Protest, Pragmatism, Pessimism (2004). His most recent book is The Labour Party in Scotland: Religion, The Union, and the Irish Dimension (2016).
