The Academy has several projects underway which will include a book publication or exhibition and associated events and lectures. Many of these are in collaboration with other organisations and include 1916 Portraits and Lives; At Home in Revolution: What Women Said and Did in 1916; Ulster Political Lives 1886-1921; Judging Carson and Redmond; Modern Ireland in 100 Artworks/Art and Architecture of Ireland; Digitisation of Irisleabhar na Gaedhlige; Intellectual Life in Ireland 1910-1920; National and Transnational: the Geopolitics of Ireland’s Lighthouses 1912-1923; 1916 as a Global Event; Trinity in War and Revolution; Inspiring Ireland; A History of Ireland in 100 Objects; and post-primary lesson plans.
To coincide with this programme of events the Digital Repository of Ireland launched the Decade of Centenaries Digital Preservation Award, which aims to support any custodians of heritage material in digitally preserving their holdings relating to the Decade of Centenaries.
